Research Fellow at the Department of English Studies of the University of Zaragoza. In 2010 I completed my M.A. dissertation, entitled “Invisible Threats: Epidemic Films and Children of Men”. That same year I obtained a competitive scholarship to complete my PhD thesis on transnational cinema and epidemic films. My research centers on the relationship existing between post-9/11 contagion movies and current cultural, economic and sociological discourses on viral relationalities and the so-called risk society. I have presented several papers at international conferences and am currently preparing a publication for the volume Cinema and the Crossing of Frontiers on the representation of borders in the film 28 Days Later. My research interests include Contagion Theory, Transnationalism and Risk Societies.
