Julia Echeverría Domingo

Lecturer at the Department of English Studies of the University of Zaragoza. In 2017 I completed my PhD thesis, entitled The Viral Screen: Viruses, Zombies, and Infectious Diseases in Post-Millennial Films, which defines and analyzes the emergent genre of epidemic movies from a multidisciplinary textual, sociopolitical, and philosophical perspective. My research interests include film genre theory, specifically horror cinema, digital cinema, and contemporary theories of contagion and virality. Part of my research has been published in international journals such as Transnational Cinemas, The Journal of Science and Popular Culture and Atlantis.
